So I enjoyed those moments where Tia and Charles were into each other and the plot was okay. I loved when they were in love, it was something authentic about those moments that made me keep reading to see if there were any more like it, but there wasn't enough. It has a bunch of drama that I would normally love to read about, however the way the story flowed made it tough for me. Tia is a wishy-washy kind of character that makes one point and then literally backtracks the next sentence. For example, she says she believes love is for the weak and then the very next sentence is something like, but my mother is not weak for taking my father back(she loved her adulterous husband, therefore love makes her weak)... Another is when she's having a conversation with her treacherous half sister and speaks calmly with her and even chuckles at a comment she made, but then the next sentence is I'm not ready to be cordial with her (laughing with someone you're mad at, even general conversation that doesn't come to blows is pretty cordial to me).I honestly think this would have been a better read if the main character didn't waver so much between every point she made, and if the story didn't jump back and forth so much between the past memories and present time with little transitioning.

A Chance at Love In Love With My Best Friend Book 2 edition by Sheena Binkley Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
The second story dealing with friends who love one another but cannot stand the sight of one another. Tia and Charles were inseparable in college until an incident tore them apart. Now a project at work brings them together again and sparks fly once again. On a side note, Tia's half-sister, Shelby, is the notoriously evil witch that ruined their relationship twelve years ago, and she's BACK!!! Loved the story...
Im a very see it in my head kind of reader so this was an amazing way to read this story. I loved all the ups and downs and the shocks throughout the book keep me speaking out loud "annoying my husbad" But non the less it was amazing to read and I have now recommended it to all my friends and its on book of the week for us so I get to read it again.
Tia is in love and denial of that love. Charles is in love but rejections have made him a womanizer. The exes are hell bent on them staying apart. Will they keep letting the past block their future or will they grab the greatest gift bestowed? This story had so many real life twists and drama-filled events that I finished the story in one day. Real drama, real friends, accepting your faults and correcting them. A recommend read.
This is the story of Charles and Tia, and just like Trevor and Camille, it was fantastic. I really enjoyed reading the first two books in this series and now I'm ready for #3'. There were some laughs, and some tears in this one and I have to go to a wedding in Houston TX, there is always something good happening when there is a wedding.
Now the story in itself in terms of the plot was good. I did love the fact that Charles and Tia finally put their feelings aside and gave love a chance. What I didn't really like was the format. I felt that it the story would've flowed better if they had the events that happened earlier in the relationship in the beginning. And also it their whole relationship was frustrating the back and forth all I could so is role my eyes each time. I just felt like the book needed more help. The story was entertaining nonetheless.
A Chance at Love was another great story by Sheena Binkley. Tia and Charles went through several problems and had to deal with a crazy ex/half sister and all the other drama that unfolds and still hang on to their feelings for each other throughout the years. Ms. Binkley is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. She puts out affordable reads that are very enjoyable and I look forward to reading more from this series as well as her other books.
The author did a beautiful job at weaving this story. It was wonderful to see best friends finally admit they both had faults yet still believed enough in each other to give love a chance. The author took her time in bringing out the details of each others past history of non trust because of their parents. Not only did the story help uncover friendship and love, it also was a great testament to forgiveness. Neither Charles or Tia could move on until they dealt with the issues revolving their parents. Both of their fathers hurt their children and left this world without getting a chance to be forgiven for their parts they played in their lives.
So I enjoyed those moments where Tia and Charles were into each other and the plot was okay.
